"I prefer to make striking images, with drama, sweep or intensity. Capturing the subject at a compelling angle, in dramatic light, I work with texture and contrast in post-processing. Street photography lends well to this as I capture people being, doing and expressing. And then there’s the added bonus of working with the context and background as part of the subject’s story."

Professor Laurence Bradshaw, Professor of Art at the University of Nebraska at Omaha comments: “Christine Cook has a striking work entitled “Been Tough” using digital photography to capture a wonderful human study that has a slight reflection to the left. And her “Black Seminole” strikes an amazing chord with the intermix of textures. The tilted head echoes the diagonal play of pattern. Another fine work … is “In the Moment” wherein the play of light and the linear movement of parts gives energy to the rather peaceful setting….”
