Christine Cook was featured in a Naples Daily News article entitled, “Many Try; Neopolitan wins”.

“Forty-two artists were selected out of the 210 who applied. Naples artist Christine Cook is one of those 42. She has received five special recognition awards in the 16th annual Faces Juried Online International Art Exhibition hosted by Upstream People Gallery.”

Been Tough
Upstream People Gallery awarded FIVE special Recognition Awards to Christine Cook in the 16th Annual Faces Juried Online International Art Exhibition September 4, 2014.


“Christine Cook of Naples, Florida has a striking work entitled “Been Tough” using digital photography to capture a wonderful human study that has a slight reflection to the left. And her “Black Seminole” strikes an amazing chord with the intermix of textures. The tilted head echoes the diagonal play of pattern. Another fine work … is “In the Moment” wherein the play of light and the linear movement of parts gives energy to the rather peaceful setting….”

Impressive Portrait Study: Black Seminole by Christine Cook

Black Seminole was accepted into the national competition, CameraUSA 2014 showing until September 26th at the Von Liebig Arts Center in Naples Florida. It was reviewed in the Naples Daily News.
